The BERC Energy Summit kicks off on Thursday evening, February 22nd, 2018 with the annual Innovation Expo. See below for more details on each of these events and on how to submit your research poster for the Innovation Expo and contest.
The Innovation Expo is a research poster exhibition and prize contest, where attendees and participants can enjoy light refreshments and drinks while learning about innovative energy research from the student researchers themselves! BERC hosts this annual event to provide undergraduate and graduate students an avenue to show off all the hard work they're doing on campus and at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. Attendees range from startup founders and funders to world renowned scientists, to community members and student peers interested in learning about the fascinating energy research going on right here in Berkeley.
A prize pool of $2,500 will be split among the winners
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be awarded by judges, who are varied experts in the energy field
- There will also be an “Attendee favorite” prize, voted on by the Expo attendees
The Innovation Expo will be held in Hearst Mining Hall's beautifully restored Moore Lobby on February 22nd, 2018.
