Michael Wheeler is the Vice President of Policy Initiatives at Recurrent Energy, a leading utility-scale solar project developer delivering competitive clean electricity to large energy buyers across the United States. Michael oversees Recurrent Energy’s domestic legislative and regulatory affairs agenda at the federal and state level. Prior to joining Recurrent Energy in 2011, Michael worked for the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) leading Residential Energy Efficiency in the Energy Division as well as being the Transmission Advisor to former Commissioner Grueneich. Michael served as the Board President of the Large-scale Solar Association from 2014 to 2016. He received his Masters Degree in Energy Policy from the University of Delaware.
